This exhibition displays propaganda and edifying posters from the 1950’s. Besides the propaganda works praising the pros of communist way of life or recommending where to spend your holidays, as for example posters „Well-being thanks to work, satisafction thanks to savings“ and „Save for you holidays abroad“) by Čulík, you may get inspired in terms of what to eat in a movie theatre („Sweet company“ or „Sweets from Pramen will enlight the breaks“). Fišer’s „eggs and factories“ piece on the poster from 1950 „Easter, feast of building peace“ evokes slight chill on one’s back …

The 11th edition of the Golden Era of Czechoslovak Film Poster introduces more than 50 film posters by Prof. Zdeněk Ziegler, one of the most acclaimed authors of Czechoslovak film posters. He created more than 300 film posters between 1962 and 1989. Prof. Ziegler opened the exhibition in person.
